Halloween

Well, yesterday was Halloween. As some of you know, Jenn and I went as The Pink Panther and Chief Inspector Clouseau. Most people recognized us right away. But I was surprised when a couple people asked if I was The Pink Panther, and thought Jenn was some sort of kitty... So I would reply, “no, she’s The Pink Panther, I am Chief Inspector Clouseau.” Then they would feel foolish and say, “oh yeah! I meant the guy who’s in The Pink Panther.” One little girl also thought Jenn was a bunny, but we didn’t have the heart to correct her.

Continuing the Burningham family tradition, we all gathered at my parents house and ate soup or chili out of bread bowls (usually pumpkin-shaped, but not this year). Here are some pictures of the nieces and nephews in their costumes, minus Trevor and Jordan, who thought hanging out with friends was more important... (Just kidding!)

In order of appearance: Brody as a soccer player; Shane as Jeff Gordon; Katelynn Arnold (a family friend) as Raggedy Ann; McKenna as a cowgirl; Taylor as Minnie Mouse; Kaytlin as a singer; Brady as a ghoul, or possibly The Grim Reaper; Alex as Lucy Ricardo; Tyra as Tinkerbell; Boston as a lion; and Briggs as Buzz Lightyear.

Then everyone started passing around Alex’s Lucy wig and Taylor’s Minnie ears and eyelashes...

It was fun! We had a really good time.
